Los jumpings jacks son ejercicios que consiste en saltar abriendo las piernas y subiendo los brazos desde una posición inicial neutra, realizando este movimiento de una forma repetida. Gracias a este ejercicio se puede trabajar la musculatura de las piernas, espalda, glúteos y brazos, es por esto que son ejercicio funcional que trabaja diferentes cadenas musculares. Este ejercicio lo puedes encontrar en todo tipo de sesiones de entrenamiento, desde calentamientos, hasta rutinas hiit.
Entre las variaciones más conocidas del jumping Jack encontramos las siguientes:
- Piernas cruzadas. Consiste en cruzar las piernas en lugar de piernas juntas, alternando lados y dejando cada vez una por delante.
- Jumping Jack con peso. Es muy común el uso de pesas y lastres en la realización de este ejercicio. Estos pesos pueden ser con mancuernas en las manos, pero también pueden ser muñequeras o tobilleras lastradas.
- Salto en tijera con desplazamiento hacia adelante. Para añadir intensidad es mediante un desplazamiento hacia adelante en los saltos.
La ejecución de los ejercicios es importante y hay que tener en cuenta algunos aspectos para evitar daños y lesiones, para esto no cometas los siguientes errores al hacer ejercicio:
- Inclinar el tronco hacia adelante después de saltar.
- Caer del salto con las rodillas estiradas.
- Saltar demasiado.
- Arquear la espalda hacia atrás.
- No tener la espalda recta durante el ejercicio.
Este ejercicio es una gran opción gracias a sus muchos beneficios, además, al ser un ejercicio con el propio peso corporal, no se necesita ningún material extra o equipamiento para realizarlo. Pero hay que tener en cuenta que, a pesar de ser un ejercicio bastante asequible para todas las edades y niveles, también tiene contraindicaciones que hay que tener en cuenta.
